College Football

My college football team is terrible. . . but I still love it. It breaks my heart that we suck so badly!

I'm not a fair weather fan though. . . I'll still watch. . . I'll just yell and curse a lot. :)

I like college hoops much better. In fact, I like college hoops better than the NBA. But I can't say the same for college football. I am not a huge UT sports fan even though I may end up doing my masters here. My alma mater is perenially ranked the worst D1-A program (Go UB!). If I root for any football team at all it is the Buffalo Bills, but for four straight years of my childhood I experienced gut-wrenching agony as they dropped consecutive Super Bowls. It kind of turned me off to football altogether.

My college didn't have a football team and we were Divison III in most sports. Oh well. I just like football season!

I am very excited it's college football season!! Although my college's team (Purdue) really sucked last year, I think they'll do much better this year. I've got my season tickets and the first game is tomorrow! Yeah! (i'm going to the Penn State/Purdue game later this year. I'm not sure we stand a chance, but it should be a good game!)

i am absolutely ecstatic that college football is finally here!!! saturday when i was flipping channels, the first College GameDay was on ESPN...the preseason show...I got so excited I almost teared up. My team (Vanderbilt) plays Michigan tomorrow at the Big House, and I know they're going to get slaughtered, but it's going to be on ESPN (which is a rare event for Vandy), and I just can't help but watch it.

I think what I love most is the comradery of the season and all the competition...the office ribbing and everything. And, I live in an area that's SERIOUS about high school football, and that's always fun, too.

It's just something in the air...

I went to a Division II school that won four games in four years when I was going to college. Sadly, they haven't improved that much since then. :(

Haha, I hear ya -- sucks when football comes before you -- it makes me made too. I only care about Georgia football but other than that I would be mad too.

Ohio State-Texas...tomorrow.....Number 1 verses Number 2....first time in 10 year the top two teams have met during regular season....

It would take something pretty serious to tear me away from that game...
