RANT: Roommate Search

I'm about to yank my hair out!

I've been searching for a roommate for over a month now. I have ads up on craigslist and roommates.com (yes, I shelled out the cash for it). I've met, interviewed and shown my place to probably a dozen people...and communicated over email with probably a dozen more.

There's been an interesting mix of decent people and weirdos, but I've not yet met anyone that I'd seriously consider living with. I'm basically just 'going with my gut' in making a decision. I feel bad turning people away, but I don't get "that good impression" from them...so why would I want to live with them, you know?

Do you all think I'm being too picky, or should I just hold out for someone who I feel is the right match?

I would never live with someone I wasnt totally comfortable with, it's a big deal.

All I think about is the one wacko guy I met that mentioned that he likes to "relax around the house in the nude". WTF! No bare ass on my couch, please!!! :googly:

I say hold out until you're comfy with someone, they will have 24/7 access to your stuff.

Gut feeling is the best one to go with......though Ive had it pretty easy the last 2 times Ive had to look.....first girl each time was a great match and its worked out REALLY well.
