Screwed over Vaca/Sick Days?

My interim boss just brought me a list that the administrative assistant had. On it is when the admin has me listed as being on "out for the day". There are 10 days on this list dating back over the past 2 years. My interim boss told me to go over these days & make sure that I enter them into the system.

Um, what? I pretty routinely go to our leave system & mark days that I'm sick or on vacation. I have no record of ANY of these dates that the admin has me being out. Should I just not enter them? Is it even right that she has been tracking me?

I'd say speak with someone about that, either your boss or someone in HR.

who cares about the sick days - you're leaving anyway. Just mark everything as a sick day. The vaca will cash out, though.

I meant they were trying to tell me that I had used all of my vaca days, so I had none to cash out :eek:

After some haggling & out & out bitching, my 14 days of vaca is now at 10 & if it was a "I don't know where I was that day" it became a sick day.

I was especially pissed when it came to light that some days I wasn't even out!

In my company, we enter time everyday (every afternoon 5pm, I login computer and enter the time physically) so that we have a record of timeoffs.

I hate to do that and still do. Now come to think that it maybe not bad system. :eek:

Do you have emails or any kind of other proof that you were there those days? That could help prove that you were there.

do use a security swipe card, maybe you can get some type of print out with your ins and outs - on the otehr had they are givng you 10 days - maybe just turn the page on the whole thing.

I agree with CuranderaC that you could use emails you sent on the days you were allegedly out to prove them wrong.
