so far has been this..I am 5 years out of college, every job I have had has ended being beyond boring...my learning curve stopped at 3months at each job...I've been at my current job for 6 months, I am way ahead of my peers as far as compensation, I have little stress, and not much to do, I am BORED out of my mind. I've always had a plan or next step figured out & now I don't..not one clue of what to do next. I am so frustrated. I have 5 years of experience in my field and want to try something different, but don't know what. Someone I work with told me that I was very bright & talented, but I needed to make myself specialized, she said to go get my MBA. My employer doesn't offer tuition reimbursement, so I can't swing grad school right now. I don't want to quit my job because I make great money. I can complete my work in about an hour, so I sit here for 7 hours a day. I read a magazine yesterday. People keep telling me what a great job I am doing,,I've actually exceeded my goals! I had a sit down meeting with my manager to ask hime what my career path in this company was & he said there isn't one.. you have to make one up..,great.

Are you still bored and unhappy at work? You didn't mention what field you were in, but if you have enough experience and the right mix of skills, you should be able to "upgrade" to something more challenging. And don't count out grad. school if YOU'VE decided (not somebody else) that that's what you really want to do. You can try to upgrade to a job that DOES offer tuition reimbursement. Or, with good scores, you can try to target grants/scholarships/etc. Some internet research should help you identify some funding options there.

Hope this helps!
