I need some new music.... what songs are you loving right now? I heard this one on the radio this morning and I cannot figure out who sings it or what it's called....a bit part of it's main chorus is 'smile again...". Yah, that's all I got... haha.

I like Tom Petty's new song and also the new Stone Sour - Through Looking Glass.

OHH good thread.

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Hinder - Lips of an Angel
Augustana - Boston
Christina Aguilera - Hurt
Danity Kane - Show Stopper (I am embarrassed to admit that one!)
Anything by Panic! At the Disco (also embarrassing!)
The Fray's cd - love them so so much

Lately, I also have had any one of either Jack Johnson or Norah Jones' cds on in my car! However, they are always a favorite of mine! Can't wait to hear what everyone else has playing now - I LOVE to download music!

The rotation I currently have on ITunes:

"Remind Me" - Royksopp
"Cosmic Gate" - Thievery Corporation
"Holographic Universe" - Thievery Corporation
"Rose Rouge" - Ste. Germaine
"Trip" - Nils Petter Molvaer
"Donna Lee" - Jaco Pastorius
"Gamemaster" - Paul Oakenfold
"Unfinished Sympathy" - Massive Attack
"The Creator Has a Master Plan" - Pharoah Sanders

I put together 8-12 track playlists and will listen to them for a couple days straight before switching.

Could it be Usher - Smile Again?

Here is my list:
The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
Relient K - Be My Escape
James - Laid
New Found Glory - Forget Everything
New Found Glory - My Friends Over You
3 Doors Down - Let Me Go
Sick Shift - Despicable

On the Techno side, I still like the same songs that I have liked for a while:
BT & Paul Van Dyke - Flaming June - Here is the original version's music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvTxDheHGj8&NR
Cascada - Everytime We Touch ( :0 )
ATC - Around The World (La La La La La)
Paul Oakenfold - Words (For Love (Original Mix) (CD: Tranceport - 9th song)

I won't get into my list of classic rock songs (it would take too long to pick out the best songs), but everyone should have Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven.

I've been listening to a lot of "Top 100 Songs Of" from 1995 through 2001. I've played out my newer songs and I love those old ones - LLCoolJ, No Digity, I can't think of anyone else but I love those "old" hits! Thats what we listened to at those corny school dances back when!

I do like John Mayer's new CD, Continuum. His sound has definitely grown up with each CD he has put out.

I tend to listen mostly to throwback music...I probably won't like music that's current right now until I discover it in like five years.

Such a good song. I definitely would love to slow dance in the living room to it. (Actually that whole CD is good--have you listened to it?)

Yeah I like everything on that CD. I was at one of his concert's recently. He puts on a good show, especially with Alcohol and the fishing song.

Went to one last year, and had the best time. I intend to go to more, when he comes back to my area.

I thought of a few more that I have been addicted to:

Still Dirrty - Christina Aguilera (I hate to admit it, but her new cd is not bad at all...WAY better than anything else she's put out)

MakeDamnSure! Taking Back Sunday

Anything by the fray, angels and airwaves, panic! at the disco, jack johnson, norah jones...I really like anything, but these are all frequently playing in my cd player...I mentioned earlier augustana and snow patrol - LOVE those guys too.

Snow Patrol is awesome!! I've been listening to their new cd and it's just awesome. I really like "Grazed Knees" a lot too. For some reason, I've been getting into Rascal Flatts a lot more lately as well. I love their new CD. (btw, I hate country generally speaking, so this is a bit weird for me lol)

Snow Patrol is awesome!!
Yeah, I've been into them for a while. They've been around, in one form or another, for a little over 10 years. The writing isn't all that spectacular but it's good pop, I think. I wouldn't recommend seeing them live though - I really like Gary Lightbody's voice (and how his thick Belfast accent comes through even when singing) but it can be a bit rough....ropey if you will. Believe I made that word up.

Other songs for me:

The Kooks - She Moves in Her Own Way
The Coral - Pass it On
The Stills - Lola Stars and Stripes
Ryan Adams - This House is Not For Sale
Jackson Browne - For a Dancer
Marvin Gaye - I'll Be Doggone
Mull Historical Society - The Final Arrears

Anything from Lily Allen's debut album "Alright, Still'. She's from London and sings melodic pop songs in a cockney accent. They sound sweet but have sassy, dark lyrics. Plus she swears like a sailor.

I can't decide if I like her stuff or if I think she's overrated.

Admittedly, there's alot of hype about her, but I think she's catchy nonetheless.

This may be the "crazy" in me, but I can't get Crosby, Stills, Nash & Youngs' For What It's Worth out of my head...
