So, I had a horrible day at work today, and I got home to find a letter from one of the two schools I applied to...AND I GOT IN! I DID IT!!!!! I can't believe it...amazing. It is my first choice :) I am excited to see what kind of response I get from the other school, but I can now offically say that I will be a grad student come January...and leave this crappy job behind. YAY! Thanks SO MUCH to everyone who witnessed my extreme anxiety over this, and listened to me complain!!!!

This past week has been really, really rough with work. My boss has been on my ass, and I went home in tears Tuesday (the day I got my letter, which made everything so much better!), but now, I don't care. Yes, I have to make it for another two full months before I can announce my resignation...but now, I see the end in sight!

HAHA, I should...I reherse what I am going to say in my head like every 5 minutes...it makes my existance here more bearable!

Ha. My SoP is one of the reasons why I wrote the 'burnout' post. Hmm....I'm going to drink an energy drink tonight...maybe I'll add in the last edits and do things I need to. The CV is all good and ready to go. Still need to find another professor/anthropologist to recommend me to the program since the one I had before hasn't replied. :neutral:

That is SO FRUSTRATING. I know exactly what you are going through...it is so difficult to get people to do those. I had such a hard time with my people. You will get your SOP the way you want it. If I did, then you definitely can! Good Luck, let me know if I can help :)

congrats Allie!!! All that stressing over praxis tests and GREs paid off!! See why you should never doubt yourself? I really knew you would be fine. But just listen to me well....hang in there for the student teaching....you will really hit points of discouragment (i hit those every other day at least!), but HANG IN THERE!!!! I know it may be a little ways off for you, but please take my advice now. :)
