It should be interesting to see who posts here...who among us considers him or herself to be the O.G. :huge:

What is this forum for?

There's been talk on and off about how some people (particularly those who've been on the boards a while) may be reaching a point where we're not in the thick of some specifically QLC-esque situations anymore ourselves...like adjusting to life after college, etc. that time's kind of taken care of. But we still feel part of the community and most of us have made lots of friends here. Plus, advice from people who've "been there" is always useful. But this is a place where we can socialize without crowding out the actual QLC-related questions and queries on the main board.

So, with that in mind, I'd say that this forum is for anybody who may not be in the thick of crisis anymore, but still likes the support of the board and connections made here.

Whoo-hoo! I must say it was exciting to log on after moving everything to my new place and see the changes.

I'll gladly post on this section!

Have you guys noticed that there are some questions that get asked all the time? Topics that seem to come up over and over again, like how to make friends in a new city after losing contact with friends from school, how to maintain a work/life balance, whether or not you have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with someone else....

I guess this would be a good place to put all that collective wisdom.

(I think I'm still QLC undergrad, I don't think I've quite reached my "moment of zen" yet to graduate.)

No matter how many times a "dead horse" topic comes up, newbies will always post about it, b/c everyboy has their own perspective, and want to post, rather than just read an earlier thread, though.

You're in undergrad? I'm probably in second grade right now.

There's a little deadhorse in all of us.

Or maybe just some of us.

Allie - O.G. = Original Gangster.

Hahaha, I like that...I don't think I quite reached that status yet :) Maybe one of these days.

I still don't quite get what kind of things people would post in this forum. Like I don't find myself in a crisis, but I still see myself posting in the regular forums....

I think I could be a part of the "older" QLCers. I've been posting since 2002 and I'm a lot closer to 30 than I am to 20!

see... I feel like I might come back because of this. I was getting tired of sifting through all the "how do I meet girls?" and "oh crap I'm out of college and now what?" threads. I felt like I couldn't relate and the forum wasn't doing me any good anymore.

This strikes me as maybe a place where those of us who have been living in the post-college world for several years and have a lot of that stuff figured out can talk.

thanks!

I've been... I dunno. I can't even say I've been busy. 've been having a couple of really happy, fun, stable months there and haven't wanted to read about anyone's problems for awhile. That, and I quit the office job, so I'm never in front of my computer anymore.

But I'm back. At least a little.
