Is there anything worse than when you are anxiously awaiting multiple emails, and all you keep seeing is "You Have 0 Unread Messages" ???

ugh, sorry, just wanted to share my pain with the group

0 unread business emails is a welcome thing for me(only 46 new ones this morning!)

0 unread personal emails is depressing....when I see no messages, I feel compelled to start new conversations: "so who haven't I emailed in a while?"

For me right now, this isnt even true, I have nothing to do, and would welcome a business email or 2 today.

lol, i'm feeling that way right now.

Maybe you just don't have as many Nigerian relatives as I have who were killed in a plane/train crash/poisoned by business associates who want to give me their money?

P.S. Great waste time reading work stories site: www.jobschmob.com

You can always PM me or is it my turn?

I know what you mean about the 0 unread messages. It's like watching water boil. I'm sure emails will start streaming in when you least expect them to.

hmm, I believe it is your turn.

Yeah, things in my life tend to go in cycles, I'll get nothing at all for days/weeks at a time, and just when I start to really stress about it, I get bombarded.

i like to alternate refreshing my email browser every three minutes with voicemail checks every 45 minutes or so. :googly:

i have taken to sending large group emails to my college friends and demanding responses. this fills up my inbox... no, not with job offers, but at least with friends :googly:

lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one :huge:

Me and my friends from grad school have gotten into sending out those silly email survey thingies, and responding to them, but there's only so many of those you can do, lol

I definitely need to socialize with my friends during the day, especially because we're all stuck at work.

Unfortunately we don't have access to personal email, instant messenger, myspace, etc. at work. I don't even get cell reception here! :googly: I've been highly selective with who I've given my work email address to, and who I correspond with here. So it's a few emails back & forth every day, nothing too frequent or incriminating.

Some of my friends are just notorious with forwarding junk, so they don't have my work email, thank goodness. That's all I need is to get some wacky forwarded video of questionable content in my corporate inbox!
