Hey everyone in Atlanta (and the rest of the country). I just moved here from Illinois. I don't know very many people (and no one my age). It'd be great to meet some of you in the same area. Is there a qlc group around here? Feel free to email me at hollywood60135@hotmail.com
Thanks!!!

Hi I just moved to Atlanta from Florida about 7 months ago! I was in a long distance relationship up until 2 weeks ago and now I'm finally realizing that I need to adjust to Atlanta. Where do you work?

Well, well, well...
I'm here in Atlanta...and well...let's see...I'm in the midst of a qlc! I'm 23, with a degree in Psychology. I have no idea what I want to do. I thought about teaching...I'd love to teach middle school, but umm...my degree in Psychology does not qualify me to do that. My husband is in the military, and can be transferred at any time, so going to school is difficult...
anyway...anyone out there?

Hello, Atlantans! Are there any QLC support groups in ATL? Or, do we need to get one started? I'm 28 and in a QLC...I work in market research, but just haven't found my groove yet. Keep me posted if there is a QLC Atlanta group or if one needs to get started!

I work at an International Car Rental Company (I don't know for how much longer)....I hate it...it's so boring...I'm a receptionist/sales assistant who doesn't know what she wants in life! :) And I work with a girl named Farrah....how funny is that...I had never met anyone named Farrah before and now I've met 2!
What do you do at GA State?

I am the student Media Advisor. I advise the student radio station (88.5), newspaper, online magazine, literary magazine, and tv station. It is pretty fun but busy at times. I go back and forth with being happy w/ my job. It is hard but I try to be happy and thankful for what I do have. I still need more money though b/c I'm so broke all the time!!!

Its Friday...Yeah!
I work for a management consulting firm in Midtown...I'm a market research analyst. I would like to get out of the number crunching and move into more of a Marketing/Communication position. But, right now the job market is a little tight.
I can't believe you both live in Dunwoody! Very small world :) Farrah, how is MARTA from Dunwoody? Is it a convenient trip for you?
farrah

Marta is good but gets old. It still beats waiting in traffic and risking my life on these crazy interstates!!! It also costs less for me in the long run with gas and wear and tear on my car. I'd love to live closer to work but I also love the convenience of Dunwoody and all that this area has to offer!

I recently moved to the Atlanta area and have a lot of friends currently living here. I would like to meet new people in the area so that I can "expand my horizons" (how cliche). Anyway, I live in Dunwoody like many of the other users. I work in Buckhead and would be interested in hearing any advice on where to hang out and have fun. :)

I'm interested in doing a meeting...but since I don't live in Dunwoody (I live at least 1/2 hr or a little more away), I don't know that I'll be able to meet you all this time around. But please let me know what you decide! :)

When does everyone want to meet next week? Clearly, Monday isn't an option with it being Memorial Day and all. I'm partial to Wednesday or Thrusday, but I'm flexible. I'm sure everyone works different schedules so maybe we can meet at around 7pm or after. I've never been to 3 Dollar Cafe. Do they have drink specials during the week?
farrah
05-23-2002, 01:01 PM
Well let's decide between Wed or Thursday at 7pm. How does that sound to everyone. Anyone is welcome to come. I need to figure out some of your names though since your screen names don't reveal them. 3 Dollar cafe has specials sometimes. I'm not 100% sure when they are though but I figure it is a central place to meet unless you guys have something else in mind. American Pie is another place as well.

I'm thinking this is a shot in the dark, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a regular meeting for a North Atlanta QLC support group? I am a therapist in Marietta and am very interested in the quarterlife crisis idea, both from a professional and personal perspective. I'm also 29 years old, so not too far removed. I think I could find a place in the Dunwoody area. No stuffy, borish meetings. Just some place to bounce ideas off somebody and be with others dealing with the same things. Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't know if anyone reads this thread anymore, seeing how 95% of the posts are from two years ago, but I'm going to assume the affirmative and continue with my post.
Greetings to all fellow Atlantans! I'll introduce myself by saying that I have lived in Atlanta for a very long time. (I'm between Decatur and Tucker if that means anything at all.) I was raised here, graduated high school here, etc. I attended the lovely UofGA in Athens, graduated last December (after 4.5 long years) and moved back to-you guessed it-right where I started from. If that ain't cause for a QLC I don't know what else is. I'm in an Atlanta rut. I know this town has a lot to offer me, but I don't see that currently. Anyone else with me on this?
If anyone has suggestions for entertainment, etc, I'd love to hear about it. I'd love to chat about this, maybe meet some folks. Let me know. and Yes, this is a cry for help.

you will find a way to be successfull rachel. I happened to be moving to atlanta myself this summer. Im not exactly sure where in the metro area i will wind up at but i will be up there this summer. Im waiting to find a teaching job and will try to live close to whereever that might be. This will be the biggest city i have ever lived in so I am really looking foreward to it.
