If you had a friend whom you haven't spoken to in a while, but didn't have anything against him, like you just didn't speak to each other becauseschool ended, he went off to another (but still nearby) school and you were both busy and whatnot... and suddenly his girlfriend is leaving a nasty comment (under an alias so she's trying not to be found out, also tried to IM me under the same alias, though I didn't acknowledge that fact, I just was kinda like "Hey random person I don't know") and making up a fake profile of you on myspace and perhaps spreading rumors... would you speak to the friend about it... or just ignore it?
There's a possibility that the friend himself is involved and not just the girlfriend in the immature stuff but not for sure. I am in this situation and it's leaving me quite confused... I will have the profile taken down no problem but should I speak to him about it? I have met his girlfriend once before when we were out as a group and that's it, all the nasty stuff is coming from out of nowhere it seems. The friend is also an ex and things didn't end the most wonderful way but it was a long time ago... before the grifriend was around. We remained good friends afterward (at least I thought). As far as I know I haven't done anything.
So I dunno... should I contact him about it? I wouldn't say anything like "Your girlfriend is being weird" but just ask him what is going on... he was someone that I valued as a friend, I just figured he was too busy to be close friends anymore.
