Yeah, if you're from St. Louis you're probably all to familiar with the saying, "so where'd you go to high school." I just need a few minutes to rant about the people in the lou. Is it just me or does everyone around here actually still hang out with the people they went to high school with? I am 25-years-old and have lived all around the world and have met an extremely diverse group of friends and now I live in a place that is so closed minded that I can't make a new friend, outside my high school group, to save my life (of course this is besides the guys who pose as friends but really just want a piece of ass). Anyone else lonely for new, inspiring friends?

I work in a county that a lot of people never leave. So I get a lot of: Where did you go to HS? Wow, you're a long way from home! How did you get here from there?
I say that I drove.

That was exactly the thought I had. That is the (justifiably) stereotypical St. Louis question. Having grown up close to it, I get asked that. Of course, when I tell them what small town HS I went to, I still have to explain where it's at. :huge:
St. Louis is like college: You get out of it what you put into it. There's something for every taste, you just have to dig to find it. What few 20-somethings stay in STL are clickish, certainly. I've never understood that.
