Has anyone ever won these games? I have never heard of someone every winning the big prizes. In the past, I have known people who have won food or Best Buy bucks, but never have I heard of anyone actually winning the big prizes.

Lol. They made fun of that on Aqua Teen Hunger Force last night. Hence my new signature. :huge:

I remember a few years ago it was a scandal that the big prizes were fixed, employees of Mcdonald's (the big wigs) were giving the money to friends. It's back so I guess they figure America has forgotten all that.

The most I've ever won through that game is free fries or a drink.

The local radio station was doing a segment on this about a week ago.
The big prize is getting all four of those railroad pieces. Well the station found out that there is only like one in a million shot of getting one of the rarer railroad pieces. I think two of them are more common, then the third is not as common and the fourth one is rare. So you need to get all four of them to win the big prize. But I'm sure there are plenty of people that get the McDonalds food and if the game piece isn't an instant winner, they just throw it away. So I'm betting that the every day person won't care about those pieces.
I've only won a small drink and some fries. But I think that was the very first time they did the Monopoly game about ten years ago.

I don't actually care. If I win something, I win something. I'm certainly not going to increase my Mickey-D intake to try. I also don't pick what I'm going to get based on the monopoly pieces it may or may not have on it.

When I worked there, I saw a woman come through drive thru with a "Boardwalk" sitting on her dash. After picking up my jaw, I told her she got the rarest piece there is, and that she should keep buying drinks, because she would get a Park Place eventually- they were fairly common. I don't thin she believed me, since I never saw any local winners.
...the woman had no idea she had $1 million sitting on her dashboard

A friend of mine won about $250 playing.
Other than that, most people go to CraigsList or other message type places and bargain with people to exchange or give pieces to one another.
Seems to work…..get the pieces you need, get a prize, split it with the person you get the piece from.

yeah, it was this big scandal a few years ago. I remember that McyD's actually had these ads out that were designed to make people trust them again.
I havne't gone there since I started working - Chicago has an elevated train and there's a McDonald's down the street from my work station. This nasty greese smell wafts up to you while you're waiting for the train. :(

Hah, I never even look at the game pieces.
I did, however, have a Sausage McMuffin this a.m.

I enjoy playing whenever McDonalds has Monopoly out. But, I'm more of a Monopoly fan too.

How long has this been going on this game? I seem to remember it back in the late 80s- anyone else? This new version with all the different prizes seems to flashy. And Im really getting old.
