Interview on Friday

So...I started applying for jobs and I got an interview for this Friday. I was thinking of telling my boss that I had a doctor's appt at 11 and if I could come in at 12 or 12:30. Since I got the call for the interview during lunch, I thought I would tell my boss around 3 or 4 about it. THE DAMN MINION emails saying if she could have a half a day that EXACT day! UGH! What do I do? Should I call out or reschedule the interview? I don't want my boss to see me all dressed up for the interview either so I thought that appt would've been perfect. Any suggestions.

call out, or when you get in in the morning on fri say you have a dr. appt you completely forgot about until you got home last night (thursday) and got the reminder VM from the doc's office. you need to take an extended lunch to go and come back and sorry for the short notice.

really though, i'd say call out.

Call in sick, sound really crappy on the phone that morning. If someone else has already asked for a half-day, that's the best you can do, cause the boss will be unlikely to give you that time off!

Thanks. I know she def. wouldn't give me time off bc it seems that something always arises for me when someone else is out. haha. Honestly things always happen to me that I need to do when someone is off causing her to be like um no so and so is out that day.
