Okay, so it's not even 9am, but I still felt like ranting about people at my work that just do the GROSSEST things. I think it all stems from a mice & bug problem we've had because people leave open food containers out on their desks...but that's another story.

I'll be in the bathroom and countless women just walk out without washing their hands.

Sometimes meetings are catered, with a buffet lunch or trays of sandwich wraps...people pick through the food with their fingers, or put their leftovers back in the tray. WTF! Use the utensils!

I think I've ranted about this before, but lunches get stolen and partially eaten from the refrigerators in the lunchroom. What is this, middle school?

Maybe I just haven't had enough caffeine this morning, but if I see one more person sneeze into their hand, then try to shake hands with me, I'm gonna lose it  Luckily I've armed myself with a few lysol wipes and my own lunch container I keep at my desk!

Any other coworker nasties? I'm feeling rather punchy today, bring them on :surprised

Well, can I just say that snuff is a nasty habit, and it's nasty to see people spit afterwards. Gross. I used to have an otherwise fabulous coworker who would leave his spittoon cup/bottle/receptacle laying around. And, I have determined that the berry-flavored snuff is the most disgusting to have to smell. Makes me want to vomit.

I had read somewhere about someone ranting that this coworker always stole other people's lunches. When he got fed up, he made something like a cake with paxatives in it. Solved the problem - he never took other's food again. Not that I'm advocating that, but it is tempting isn't it?

We had a guy at my last place of employment who would always do the suck-back-the-snot-and-hack trick when he had any sort of head cold- EVERY 30 SECONDS. Oh it was nasty AND continual as if the office pen area I was in wasnt loud enough. My boss was also into snuff and would spit it discreetly somewhere but i mean COME ON.

My aunt is an HR director for a mid-sized manufacturing company and she has great stories about some of the people who have come to interview for technical machinery positions. One guy she had to turn the fan on in her office and leave for a half hour because he smelled so bad. The latest corporate handouts we get from her are little pocket bottles of hand sanitizer!

WOW! You too? We have a mice and a stink bug bug infestation. THe mice get into our vending machines???!!! and chew holes in the bags. I have gotten a bag of chips with holes twice now. My company will NEVER see my .50 again. We have a refrigerator in the basement where people steal lunches too!!! WHo are these people?? They make more money than me! Another favorite is when the smokers put there cigarettes out in the cigarette asher outside and it catches on fire! Lack of common sense..put it out!

There's a guy at my work that never bathes and thus has horrible BO all the time. He also scratches his balls in public all the time.

We have stink bugs everywhere. I got dive-bombed by one the other day. It seems like around every corner, there's one crawling on the wall. I think they work harder than the employees do

Eww... Not work-related, but I was in church this weekend and they did the "community hand hold" during the Our Father, then the sign of peace... THEN, I saw the priest lick his fingers after pouring the wine. You better believe that I (1) whipped out my antibacterial lotion after peace and (2) avoided the wine. Just gross...

Ugh, thank god no one here is that bad; I just have a lot of ppl who will use microwave, have their crap spatter everywhere and leave it like that. Gross. I've had to clean it a couple of times now. And the hacking with the head cold drives me bonkers. Use a tissue people!!

I am one of only two female employees at my company, so our women's bathroom situation is awesome - everything stays so clean and nice. HOWEVER, my office happens to be right on the other side of the wall from the mens' room. Unfortunately, it's a thin wall. I know exactly who does and does not wash their hands after using the bathroom - this is such disturbing information to know. Out of seven males in the office, five wash their hands and two do not. The worst part about it is, we have a breakroom with snacks provided by our company. A lot of them are items bought in bulk at Sams, like large jars of peanuts that are pretty much communal. So for me to hear someone use the bathroom, NOT wash their hands, and then go straight to the breakroom and root around in the peanut jar with their nasty bathroom hands makes me feel so gross. I refuse to eat any of that food except stuff that is individually wrapped (granola bars, etc.). I feel like I should tell others out of courtesy, but I have NO idea how to bring that topic up.

Oh, I don't mind that. But I figure that the alcohol in the wine probably kills whatever germs were present. (Why would you need to avoid the wine? Why would his fingers the wine in the chalice after it's been poured?)
