You threadjacked your own thread, huh? Nice.

My parents grew up in PG county, when apparently it used to be safe & nice. Unfortunately, my grandparents still live there (Hyattsville!) and we can't get them to move...they're too set in their ways.

I probably wouldn't recommend living there.

- cheaper housing (looking to buy in the 300-350K standalone range)
- proximity to relatives in Dover, DE
- not horrible commutes to work in tysons and springfield.
- distance from hipster and bar scenes to be in a quieter more family-friendly neighborhood
- quite honestly, distance from psychotically toxic in laws in VA, whose house is in the closest-in neighborhood we could afford.

I'm talking UpperMarlboro not Suitland.

damn, now u replied to the other thread. hmm what's the big diff from potomac to upper marlboro. just did a mapquest. almost 30 min closer to de. i think um is decent but don't know much about it. hmm commute better ot tysons from um. i guess cause of traffic but longer distance. mitchellville(i guess south bowie) has a lot of well to do African Americans. perhaps another possibility. haha i guess in laws can suck. i don't know much about the housing prices. hmm townhomes in mitchellville? i wonder if u can get something for 350k. donnow.. donnow for um either.

oh, and I don't actually live anywhere near Potomac. Geography or price-wise. ;)
