Time for a break [Archive] - QLC Message Boards

As I mentioned, I would take a hiatus at the later of Election Day or my 5,000th post. They were concurrent, so in half an hour, I will leave for a while. I will definitely be gone for at least a week, but maybe longer...I honestly don't know if I will ever return. I need a break from QLC, from Generation 'Y', and from it all. Thank you again for being so kind, and G-d bless each and every one of you :)

I wish you luck Mark. I hope you take this time to reflect on the things that are bothering you and what you could do to change these things, because I know you can change and feel better about yourself if you are willing. Use the supports that are available to you in the community. Maybe those links I sent you will be of good use.

I'm back...I thought this could go past Thanksgiving, but I guess I had a sudden urge 30 minutes ago, and I decided to come back. But I think I will try to "confine" myself to "safe" topics, like Current Events, so I don't get agitated.

By the way...things look a little different around here...sprucing up the ol' QLC boards, huh?

PS. Love that song. (It's actually on my ipod, and I really like listening to it in nasty rainy weather.) Have you been to the shipwreck museum in MI, where they have the bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald?

Nope...but it would be something to see. Lake Superior can get incredible storms this time of year...and due to the shape of the coastline, it can be very treacherous for mariners.

I do like Gordon Lightfoot, however...a meteorology prof kinda got me into his music. :)

I went in late July/early August a couplefew years ago. It was soooooo cold. But Superior is very beautiful sometimes. It's my favorite of the Great Lakes. I am very glad, though, that I decided not to go to school in the UP. It's freakin' cold most of the time.

Thanks...I had a couple of reflexes the first couple of days (you know...www.qua + enter), but I didn't have any problems thereafter. I just missed having a community of people to talk to, so I'm back.

EDIT: More user friendly...no more clicking buttons to type in a URL. Nice...
