I say she's going to go to the hospital tomorrow during the night, and the baby will be born Friday morning...around 2am?

Hee hee! I'm so amused by this thread. My husband's coworkers actually DO have a pool going. It was $5 per date (you could pick as many as you wanted), and the winner takes half the pot, the other half goes to baby's "college fund".

I WISH I knew when the baby is coming! I was 21 days late when I was born so if that is hereditary this little girl is probably going to be pretty late herself...sigh...

If she isn't born today, your user title is going to be wrong. :eek: I was due on Nov. 25 or 26 and born on Dec. 23 so I was pretty late as well. I think now they try to get the kid out earlier though.

Ha, Steph, I was about 2 weeks late. My mom's dd was Feb. 29--LEAP YEAR. My bday is March 12!

Not anymore, but they did back in the late 70s I guess! These days they try to get the baby out sooner. They told me they will schedule an induction for next week (one week past due) if she hasn't come on her own by then.

i think it may be [hereditary]. at least in my family. ALL the kids are born 2 to 3 weeks early, except for the couple of preemies but that still along the lines of early. i was almost born in the car and if we'd hit traffic, i bet the same would have gone for my son. LOL..

my cousin's oldest son was born in the back of an altima at the ER.

we had no idea how far along i was on the drive to the hospital. i mean i was howling like nobody's biz, and the contractions were getting closer, but we were still quite surprised upon them checking me right when i got on the table that i was completely dialated and almost crowning! :exclaim:

Same here... With both me and my sister my mother was barely at the hospital an hour.

My coworker just told me that her SIL had her baby on Monday. She got to the hospital around 7 am to be induced, since she was way overdue...didn't have the baby til almost 8pm...

Just when they started talking C-section (around 5:30), the little boy started movin' on down the canal.

yay, the baby is here! She's been here for a week, was born 12/5. Her name is Caroline Anne - we've been having the best time together these past few days! I'll have to figure out how to post a pic sometime, she came out with a seriously full head of hair and it's FROSTED! She has dark hair with blonde tips. It cracks me up, and she was quite the celebrity in the hospital, all the nurses were talking about her and how they've never seen a baby with hair like that.

I did have to get induced - went for a checkup Mon. and they saw my amniotic fluid was getting low so they sent me straight to the hospital. I spent the night there with a monitor attached and they started pitocin Tues. AM. Apparently i am really sensitive to pitocin because she was out about two hours after they started my IV. No time for an epidural, no time for an episiotomy...it was over so fast! Good thing she was a little one - 6 lb. 14 oz.

Anyway, there's the update. I am not finding nearly as much time for chilling in front of the computer these days, but just wanted to let you guys know!
