So I accepted a job in Houston yesterday!

The job is with my current company. I'm really excited about the opportunity, the weather, the cost of living, and the social opportunities there. I've lived there before, and I loved it. . . love the people I'm working with, etc. Plus, I already have rodeo tickets lined up for opening night. GEORGE STRAIT, BABY! :D

I'm freaking out a bit due to the fact that we are fast approaching the holidays. . . and selling my place, buying a new one, transitioning jobs, etc., and going home at Christmas are going to be SLIGHTLY stressful.

Oh well. I'll make it through somehow!

You bought a place in NH??? How long have you been living there?

I didn't know you were looking to go back to Houston, either. Congrats!

So awesome, working for a huge company...getting to transfer around...

I've only been in NH for a year, but with my company, it makes sense to buy wherever you go. This is the second place I've owned.

I really wasn't looking to get specifically back to Houston. This job came up, and I had some talks with my VPs about my current job. . . and they decided that this was a good move for me. I didn't say anything because I didn't know if this would happen for sure or not.

No more CT meetups for me. . . unless I REALLY roadtrip! Haha! I'm so glad that I had the chance to meet you all though! :)

It makes sense to own...why? Do they offer assistance with home-buying?

I'm glad we got to meet up, too! Best of luck to you.

Yes, help on the buying side (but more importantly to me) help on the selling side, too. If I don't sell it within a certain amount of time each time I move, the company will buy it at the appraised value. If I didn't have that type of guarantee, I probably wouldn't do it.

Damn...I'd be happy to get a grand to help me move.
