Hey all.
So I'm in the midst of writing Christmas cards, catching up with friends, etc. and was thinking about how long it has been since I posted anything here. I guess for those of you who remember me, consider this my Christmas to you. :)
When I joined the boards about a year and a half ago, I was working a temp job at the University, living with my parents, going to massage therapy school, and was about to go through a painful breakup with a guy I loved very much that didn't love me in return. Then I finally got an apartment I loved but a job that I hated, and much of my posting had to do with those work struggles.
In February I met my current boyfriend, and stopped posting shortly thereafter. I felt bad about that, having read comments from people about how they hate it when people get into a good relationship and suddenly stop posting. BUt it actually had more to do with quitting the horrible job and thus no longer sitting in front of a computer on a regular basis.
So where am I now? Still in Madison, still have the same great apartment and roommate, and still have the boyfriend. I recently bought my FIRST car (at age 25!) and finally, finally, found a job that I love. I'm working full-tme as the program director for a kids' karate school, as well as doing a little freelance massage and writing, and keeping one shift a week at the gift shop I was working at between jobs.
I guess the other reason I haven't posted much for the last several months is that things have been going pretty smoothly and I haven't had a lot to talk about here. But I thought I'd let y'all know I didn't disappear, and wanted to give an update after reading a few other peoples' posts about how everything turned out.
I hope you are all doing well and would love to hear where you're at too!
