It's still hard to believe that he's gone. OMG. It REALLY, REALLY sucks. The dreaded call came when I was out shopping. SHOPPING. So silly, shopping is. So, of course I didn't buy the very cute little vintage dress (today). I'll buy it tomorrow. Right now, I'm sort of drowning my sorrows by my lonesome.
This is so super kak. I don't know how my granny will cope with it. I've so far only spoken to one of my sisters about it. She phoned me. My mom was trying to contact me this morning... but she used a cousin's phone. And I didn't feel like talking to my cousin today.

I'm so sorry! I remember how hard it was for me to deal with the loss of my grandfather. Just remember that it is ok to grieve, you don't always have to be strong.

I'm normally a very strong person. But not when it comes to sickness and death. Especially not a very, very, very beloved family member.
Thanks, guys. I know I haven't been posting here half as regularly as I would've wanted to. Just had some issues. Oh, hold on, that's what this board is for...

My condolences and sympathies go out to you and your family for your loss.
Maybe you should be with your family right now. You could definitely use each other's support at this difficult time.

I'm really sorry to hear that. My grandfather passed away in the summer of 2005, it was a very intense time for our family.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Around the holidays is tough, though any time of the year to loss such a family member is a huge loss.
My grandma passed away just days before Christmas. It was probably one of the Christmases I'll never forget, but only because she wasn't there.

When my grandfather died, I first heard about it and at first I felt very saddened and depressed because I loved him very much, and I dealt with things pretty well and then I saw my grandmother and the look on her face, from the toughest person I know to a look of a lost little girl, I started to cry. I haven't cried like that before or since.
Speaking with your grandmother may be a difficult thing to do, at least it was for myself.

I'll probably catch a bus tomorrow or Saturday, for the latest. I'm waiting on two friends to join me at a drinking hole. I've had 2 ciders and that will probably be all for tonight.
Thank you, LakeJay.

I am really sorry to hear about your loss and know what you are going through. Around this time last year on the 14th I lost my grandmother who was the last remaining grandparent in my family. She passed while I was at work and didn't find out till evening after getting home. Was a very tough holiday but I knew she was in a better place and not suffering anymore.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. I know what you are going through though. It's rough. One of my grandfathers died in Sept 2005, and the other just died in October this year. I think it's helped me to put up pictures, have things that I can remember them by. I'm not a big picture person, but I like having those pictures hung up in my apartment.
