I dont think it makes any difference personally. Later on, when people see those all-important 3 letters after your name, no one will care (or know) whether you got it part-time or full time.

Also, I generally think that in most fields, its inadviseable to be out of the field for an extented period of time to get a degree, and its better if you can work while you're getting it, but I could be wrong on that.

I think part time is just as good as full time as long as you go to a good school.

How would anyone even know you only went to school part-time ?

the argument is that when you go part time, not as many opportunities are available to you since you cant use the "regular" career services group...also the networking is not as good (which half the reason people go for their mba)

It probably depends on the program for both of those arguments.

Have you looked into those 1-year accelerated MBA programs?

What if you went somewhere that only offered the program part-time? Then you wouldnt be considered a lesser student of theirs right?

Also, if you can find a program that has classes nights and weekends like my MA program did, you can work full-time and go to school full-time at the same time, cuz that's what we all did.

Never heard that part-time students couldn't use career services. You would not be able to get internships if you worked full-time so you would lose that opportunity, if it mattered to you and your career goals.
I think networking is just as good. You still go to class and interact with others.
My experience is that everything is the same, but the classes are at night/weekend.
