For those of you with pets

Would you consider a pet-related Xmas gift (i.e. dog sweater, etc.,) to be a gift to you, or to the pet? Trying to settle an office debate, here.

If it was some sort of food related gift... a gift to the pet.

Something cutesy to torture the pet with for your own amusement... a gift to you.

Probably the pet. Also, FYI, dog sweaters for me are usually a costly impulse buy. I rarely put them onto my dog, and they often don't fit right anyways because of the shape of his neck (he's a pug). Even in the wintertime, it's pretty much a useless gift. He wears a harness that's a pain to put over the sweater, and a pain for the sweater to be put over the harness, as well. I can't not use a leash with him because of leash laws, and well, he doesn't listen and would run off.
