I got burgled sometime between last night 8pm and this morning 2am. I went out with a friend to forget about "things" - including my grandpa's passing away - only to get home and find that my laptop, dvd player and television set's missing.
The weirdest thing is that my Ipod was lying in full view and it was left untouched. My laptop's in my bedroom, on a table and it is always charging. They took out the charger and left the charger in the living room. What they did take, stupidly enough, is my cellphone's USB cable. Don't ask me why!

I suspect my flatty. He's heavily into cocaine, amongst other illegal substances and his room's untouched. Mind you, he does lock it but wouldn't a potential thief try his luck, especially if a room's locked? Wouldn't that room be more alluring? Worst thing is that the security gate wasn't forced open. My next door neighbour didn't hear any commotion.

Just another vent.

That sucks. I'm sorry. I found out that a house a block or so away from me was burgled a few weeks ago. Someone smashed in their front windows. It definitely spooked me.

Sorry to hear you got robbed. At the risk of stating the obvious, living with a cokehead is a pretty bad idea and definitely puts you at risk for all sorts of bad shit-- certainly including, but not limited to, getting robbed. Move out, now, I say!

I agree with the others. If you have even an inkling of suspicion that it could have been your roommate, then you need to get yourself out of that situation. I work in the human services field, and if we have pretty concrete evidence that a client is using, we take our staff out of there because they are putting the staff in danger by their drug use. You don't know if they are paying their dealer and their dealer could show up and try to harm you.
