So, I asked my boss for a raise a few weeks ago... She said she would review it, and take it up with her boss.
Since then I haven't heard anything. I've never been in a situation to specifically ask for a raise before, so I'm wondering if I'm supposed to follow up? Is she supposed to tell me even if they decided I can't have one? Or do I just wait and hope it shows up on my paycheck soon...

What's your experience with this?

I hate hate HATE HAAAATE asking for a raise. I think it's insulting. I do it when I feel like I deserve it, but I should be offered a raise. Otherwise I feel like I'm not appreciated.

I asked for a raise at my 3 month review and they didn't come back to me until 2 months later - although it was retro-active from the day I had asked.

I would follow-up if I were you.

A week ago, I brought it to my 'boss's' attention that my year and six month mark was today. I want my damn review so I can get some more money! I have not heard back from her, and I don't want to pester her, but c'mon, what does it take to get people to do stuff around here?
