I'm currently in a graduate program that I am bored with and am thinking of switching to the certificate program and getting a masters of public administration afterwards. I'm having a hard time making a decision because my job pays for the current graduate program that I'm in, but probably won't pay for an MPA. Also, I already have 7 credits, and will need another 18 to get the certificate. The master's program is 45 credit hours. Does anyone here have a certificate and found it to be just as useful as a masters degree in their career? Does anyone here have an MPA or are currently working on one? If so, how do you like your classes?
