Have you had any experience with Quixtar? What was it?

My brother has been suckered into this scam and it's a shame. He is wasting a lot of money and time under the false pretense that he will be a millionaire and never have to get a 9-5 job. But he is the type that has to make his own mistakes and figure it out later.

Crappy pyramid scheme. I once terminated a longstanding friendship when said dude invited me and a bunch of our friends to his house, ostensibly for a birthday party for his baby daughter, and then whipped out flow charts and signup sheets.

Multi-level marketing crap is just crap. Introduce me to one person in the history of Amway/Quixtar that actually DID get to "retire at 30" or whatever. Bullshit. If this crap worked, nobody on earth would hold down a real job.

The area where I grew up is home to the founders of Amway. Judging by all the crap that's named after them I'm sure they came out just fine financially. :p

It tickled me to see DeVos get his ass beat in the MI governor's race last year. :D I was looking at a photo of him, and I thought: "It's Maxwell Smart!!"

He has a crap ton of money and a private jet. And he wanted to run a state with 7% unemployment. From what I've heard that's the only explanation necessary for his loss.

I think like any other "career choice" in life, people need to make their own mistakes and learn from them. I know when we try to encourage my sister to get a job with healthcare benefits that's on the books (she has to pay her healthcare out of pocket and do her taxes herself) she gets pissed and annoyed with me and my family. My mom thinks she'll figure it out when she needs to (right now she loves her job), or when her car which is on it's last legs finally dies ;).
