Are there employees in your workplace who feel 'entitled' to what really are perks (flex time, etc.)? Does their high and mighty attitude have an effect on productivity? How do you react? Or, more importantly, what action has your employer taken?

My office's morale is SOOOO low, it's pathetic.

Your ideas are appreciated!

Actually, no. Fortunately, the top guys that everyone look up to are generally nice, hardworking, joking, good nature people. So it's hard for someone to do that, although we have a few abrasive people, but the guys you model yourself after are good mentors, and solid leaders.

As far as your question about how company handles it. A few years back, I did however had a few bad managers that almost caused a lot of top guys to leave, I had four offers on my hand. Fortunately, higher ups from other departments stepped up to the plate, and avoid the mass exodus.

I personally think flex time is, macroeconomically speaking, more a right than a perk.

My workplace morale is more affected by really poor leadership than anything any "underlings" do.
