Yeah, I think I definitely appreciate my family (ie. parents) way more than I used to since I graduated college. As I get older, I have found out that the world can be a very cruel place, with many people motivated by profit, power and greed. I can just be myself around my family and don't have to be "on". I know they love me and will always care about me, regardless of how the world perceives me.

Not at this point of my life, especially since they figure into the qlc.

I have found that I am closer and more appreciative towards my parents in the last few years. When I was younger I didn't see the reasons behind some of their parenting decisions, now I do.

I'm actually much closer to my family now that I live in a completely different state than where they all live.

I think just being older, more independent, etc. there isn't need to fight/argue with the siblings and parents as much. And I don't see them as often as I used to which makes my trips back home much better and meaningful.
