:D :D :D :D WOO HOO! I got in!!!! I GOT IN!!!! I GOT IN!!! I GOT IN!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

I have "officially" been accepted into one of the seven schools I applied to. With the other six, I have only received confirmations of receipt. I must admit I am a bit skeptical of the offer because I just sent out my applications about two weeks ago! Has this happened to anyone?!! I am going to call the school to confirm before I make any arrangements. WOO HOO!

:D

I got into the first and only grad school I applied to. I had to have a face-to-face interview, and I think I got the acceptance letter a week later. It was a very exciting day in my life. Even more "exciting" is that I was supposed to start classes on 9/11. That of course didn't happen...........

In the context of an anthro application (or, ideally, a psych document-- "paging Dr. Freud,") I think it works. I think it's kinda funny that we're talking about "taking it out or leaving it in," but that shows how bored/juvenile I'm feeling today! :p

First, thanks!!!

You will both be schocked to hear that I didn't submit the paper I showed you. After speaking with my professor, I really had to start from scratch because she said it was pointless to sumbit the paper I was going to. I can send you both a copy of the one I did hand in if you want. The paper I eventually handed in took weeks to try to 'perfect'. I was really proud of it and it did seem more academic.

As for the town and the school that accepted me, their population is under 200K! I've never left Manhattan! EVER! I think it is going to be a big adjustment not having tons of things to do but I figured it would be a good thing. I will def. have no other choice but to really bust my butt off. Apparently it is some popular resort destination....although I've never really heard of it.

The next steps are to get free money and/or loans and a visa. I have no idea how to go about getting a visa or loans but I guess I'll learn on the way. Anyone have any clue how to do this? I was going to check with the school so they can tell me.
