Ha!

As much as I love those darn commercials, I'm not sure if this will work for any length of time. Due to the popularity of the commercials, I think people will tune in to see the pilot but I'm not sure if they'll keep watching. I do think it could bring a light-hearted look at discrimination without identifying a real-life group. Who knows.

I love all the Geico commercials.

Not really seeing a full fledged show with the cavemen, though. Still, it is pretty funny.

I think I'm just outside of the norm, but I just don't find the cavemen funny. I get why others would think so, but there's nothing hilarious to me about them. (Which, honestly is kind of incredible, since I laugh at nearly anything, including bad puns.)

But good luck to 'em.

I also dont think its a good idea. Kinda like giving the "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" chihuahua a talk show.

Frankly, of all the commercials out there that *try* to be funny (90% of them deal with an idiotic husband and a wife with the common sense), the Geico commercials are of a select few that actually ARE funny. That said, I doubt a TV show with them will work.

Pretty catchy tune, though

I don't have much of an appetite thank you.

That look on his face is show worthy in itself.

I'm right there with ya. I really don't enjoy those commercials. The first one was okay, but I think they're just going overboard now.

I like the gecko commercials more than the caveman ones. They should do a show with the gecko!

maybe the gecko will be the caveman's talking pet on the show...

i don't remember that...what did he do in the commercials if he didn't talk?

i don't like the ones with the giant gecko (the guy in the gecko suit)...just the ones w/ the animated little guy. he's so cute.

One of the original ones was where he was running hand in hand in slow-mo into the sunset with a beautiful woman, with puffs of dandelion seeds wafting around. It was very Deep Thoughts.

I read that they originally used the CGI gecko during the SAG strike in the late 90s, when they couldn't get any actors for commercials.

Is that the one where they played that song "Sometimes When We Touch?". That was hilarious! I loved that on. And I didn't know it was a real song! :p

*Tonight on Episode Two of the GEICO Cavemen:*

Teenager caveman Bobby whomps classmate Sally on the head with his club and drags her back to his cave. Hilarity ensues.

Correction: That's what everyone would expect Bobby to do as a caveteen. But being an educated and sophisticated one, he'd correct us and teach us all a very valuable lesson.

On a very special episode of Cavemen.

OMG! I LOVED that bit. For some strange reason I fell on the floor laughing when I first saw it. Song cracks me up. Probably why I love cavemen today.:p

Aww, RIP Phil Hartman.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'm just a caveman. I fell on some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the honking horns of your traffic make me want to get out of my BMW.. and run off into the hills, or wherever.. Sometimes when I get a message on my fax machine, I wonder: "Did little demons get inside and type it?" I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know - when a man like my client slips and falls on a sidewalk in front of a public library, then he is entitled to no less than two million in compensatory damages, and two million in punitive damages. Thank you."

rgr...I was just watching it when I slipped and fell into a crevasse...

BTW how long do you think it will take the Geico cavemen to go the way of the "Wazzup?" budwieser guys?

After thinking about it...I wonder if this is part of the gimmick. You know, they announce these guys are getting a show, and they get lots of free advertising out of it.

Esp. since most shows that film pilots don't even have the pilots ever seen. I think leaking it is a pure PR move.
