A really great gal is feeling down and out, so her closest friend is putting together a collage for her which she has asked people to contribute.
Besides the one page contribution, I was thinking of doing something extra for her. I love this girl. She is absolutely one of the coolest and nicest people to be around. So…I need your help. I was thinking of putting together a little get-well/ bon voyage gift basket. Is this any good? Any other suggestions?

Is she up for having company and if so, what does she like to do? Since you are leaving town, would you be able to do one of her favorite activities with her before you leave and make sure to take lots of pictures to mark the day?

I know when I was going through a tough time a friend sent me some sunflowers to brighten my day. It was totally unexpected and it made me smile every time I looked at them.

She's moving back to MN in about a few weeks. I'm thinking about telling our mutual friend to host a going away party for her....perhaps it will cheer her up to see how many people care about her.

Maybe get her something "New York" like a cool picture book or something and write a note on the inside? My co-workers did that for me when I left New England, and I LOVE it. It was very thoughtful, and I really enjoy looking through it from time to time to remember all my favorite places.

How about a really nice journal (the kind you see in craft stores: hard cover with fancy paper)?
