This should be interesting. I'm going on a business trip and stopping at the Sydney Airport on the way back, so I asked if I could do a multi-destination ticket. The first day I picked was $1400 more, but the second one was $132 less. I have some idea about what to do and where to stay, but I am kind of just making it up as I go along as well. I'll probably stay at some hostels a few days and in my tent while hiking the Blue Mountains for a night or two as well. If anyone has been there or knows of some cool places to see, I'd like to hear about it.

I still can't believe that I am actually going there. It's like I've won a trip on a game show or something. This is one of the top 5 places I want to visit in my life.

If you would have told me that I would be writing this post 3 years ago, I wouldn't have believed you. You never can tell what will happen in your life a few years from now.

Congrats. I was in Sydney 11 years ago. It was truly beautiful! We stayed in a hotel downtown for a few days (and got to wander downtown Sydney on our own which was AWESOME for a bunch of teenagers), then we stayed at a boarding ranch in the Blue Mountains for a few days. I'm sure you will love it.

I spent 10 days in Sydney, Brisbane, and Toowoomba (sp?) the summer after I graduated from high school (in 2000). I got to see the Olympic torch in Toowoomba...it was awesome! You'll love it!

Lovely. Strangely I have never seen sydney despite spending 5 years in Australia as a child.. and a few visits...except for the transit area of its airport...
I get to see Sydney for the first time in mid april.. going away for a weekend with mother and grandmother...

Hope you like it.. im sure it will be very lovely. Australia is so beautiful...

Congrats and have fun!

Syndey is one of the places I wanted to visit (and I will, eventually, for sure), along with Singapore and a few other countries.

I enjoy traveling (and making up for lost time since I couldn't afford to before), but I wouldn't want to travel all the time for work. I have a desk job, which gets old after a while, but it looks like I'll get to travel to another state for a short term project soon! :D

I just got back. And besides the 26 hour trip each way (that I slept through most of), that was a great trip. I had pretty high hopes and expectations for this trip and it lived up to it.

And now I come back to the snow falling in Ohio...
