Block phone number

Alright you tech people. I want to be able to place a call from my cell phone and have the number NOT come up....

You used to be able to do this with *67, I tried that and it didnt block my number from showing.

Does *67 still work?
Is there another way to block my phone number from showing up on caller ID?

my phone (nokia) has an option to block the number. the option is in the set up menu.

alternatively you could make the call from a pay phone.
