Has anyone take GMAT/GRE prep classes? Where can you find info about them?

I'm pretty sure mba.com is the official GMAT site, and there is a good amount of prep info there.

No, but the big names in test prep that I know of are Princeton Review and Kaplan. I attended a Kaplan math course once (not for test prep, I was ahead in school and took an advanced course). It wasn't anything that I couldn't do on my own. It was really just a way to force myself to practice.

I think if you have the discipline to study on your own, you probably don't need a class. You can seriously reward yourself for a job well done after the test with all the money you'll save. I think my Barron's GRE book cost $25 bucks compared to almost 2000 for a class (a few friends took their SAT class).

I borrowed a GRE prep book when I took the test. Taking a class on it seems overkill.

I just used a book. . . I think I used the Princeton Review. I found the book to be pretty useful. I did much better on the test than I expected. I also found the book to be somewhat entertaining. . . Not sure what that says about me!
