Help with laws

Does anyone know a search engine or quick way to look up my states laws on drug possession and charges/sentances that can be brought depending on what you're caught with and how much?

I wouldn't trust any search engine/reference site like that if you do find one...

Simple possession is not normally a big deal, but you really never know. The legal consequences are pretty variable, with the local laws and law enforcement priorities, the attitude of the officers involved, the quality of your lawyer and the attitude of the prosecutors all affecting the final outcome.

The legal (and financial) issues aside, don't forget about the potential for a having a black mark following you for the rest of your life affecting your job prospects and other future opportunities. A friend of mine was busted for something stupid and now he can't get licensed as a Pharmacist (after already doing 2+ years of Pharmacy school).
