As mentioned in a previous post, a pipe burst in my kitchen this afternoon, so my water has been shut off. My landlord and a plumber here here most of the night trying to get it fixed. They are supposed to get back early Sunday morning to hopefully finally get it done. Sooooo I skipped out of here to let my landlord handle things, and spent most of the night hanging out in a cheap downtown DC dive bar and meeting random people. Fun times.

I just got back and immediately logged onto QLC? I don't want to think about that too much...

Watched the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight at a friend's bbq...luckily didnt bet cuz I woulda lost some money. For some reason, Oscar doesnt really jab anymore and he played right into Mayweather's hands. Totally disappointing. Also, watched the Rockets lose at home to the Jazz, which is ridiculous.

Went to a Cinco de Mayo BBQ. Something happened with the cable in the area so they couldn't get the fight after paying for it and needless to say, there were some very pissed off people in the house.........

Went to a nice dinner. Saw Spiderman 3, then watched the Mayweather v. De La Hoya fight.

Pretty good day.

Did the same. This was the first fight I've ever really watched, and I was SO into it. I screamed my head off. Man, I really dislike Mayweather. When he was laughing everytime De La Hoya hit him, I wanted to jump through the screen and kick his ass.

I was really disappointed in the Rockets. . . Sucky. My boy Deron Williams is so amazing though, is he not? I was so proud of him. (I root for my Illini boys. I had Lulu Head for the Rockets and Deron and Dee for the Jazz, so I couldn't lose last night.) :)

My friends made this awesome media room with leather recliners and a couch. Such a sweet room. I was semi-anti-social last night at the party as I didn't really leave the media room. . but I talked to people in that room so whatever. ;):

I would've enjoyed the fight more if I hadnt seen other De La Hoya fights were the guy was an absolute genius in the ring. He used to be really surgical with that jab. Then he'd catch you leaning with that monster left hook and it was a wrap. Mayweather couldnt hurt Oscar but his defense is just too good.

Both the Suns and the Nets lost today which pretty much completes my O-fer weekend. Thank God I'm not a gambler.

I know it's not Saturday night anymore, but I would like to say that I did have fun staying in last night. I was at a friends and a few of her brother's friends stopped by and we made margaritas and at yummy chips and salsa for Cinco de Mayo and they played poker and I sat around and talked. I swear, a good night in is highly underrated. I'm just not into the "going out" scene. Never really was.

Tonight, I am working on my ceremony music list, dinner music list, as well as my day of wedding timeline. All the while calming two very skittitsh dogs who are terrified of the nasty storm that's been blowing through all day and cursing the weather when my power goes out and I have to reset everything (5 times since 9 am and twice in the past hour).
