How was everyone's? What did you do?
We had Friday off as a 'company holiday' and last year we had the same thing then layoffs about 2 weeks later...so we're all waiting for it...ha ha.
But I was happy to have the day! Went to my BF's on Thursday night, then Friday went to the beach with my girlfriend.
Went home to nap and shower, then went back out for dinner with my 2 girlies.
Then back to my BFs to get him packed and picked up to head to my house.
Saturday we went to Block Island and rented a moped and zoomed around all day and explored. Didnt get back to my house until about 11...after leaving at 8am.
Sunday went to 2 zoos, cooked dinner napped and watched TV.
Monday: Went out to lunch and then had a long hike. Had a hearty dinner then watched the DaVinici Code....man what a crappy movie!
And adventurous outdoorsy weekend, it was awesome.

I always go to Memorial Day observances. This year, I got to go to two, the one for the city of Chicago and the one in my hometown. Very touching programs. Then I go and put flowers and flags on each of my grandfathers' gravemarkers. Based on the fact that memorial service crowds are generally composed of servicemen and women, musicians, families with young children, and elderly people, I'm guessing not too many of us in this age bracket are with me on the whole Memorial observance thing, though.

My weekend was okay, but not long enough. It was nice to be off for 3 whole days. I really could use about a week's vacation. I haven't had a vacation in years because I haven't worked anywhere long enough to have paid vacation time
On Saturday, my sister and I saw Pirates 3 and had dinner after. Didn't like the movie as much as the first two. Plus it was far too long.
Sunday, my dad, sister, sister's mother/dad's girlfriend and I went to the Jersey shore. Didn't go into water just walked the boardwalk, rode some rides and played some games.
Monday I recouperated and rested and tried to get myself back in the groove for working my 3 jobs 60 hours a week again.

My weekend was pretty much a blur. A few of my g-school friends came out here to Boston to visit me and we pretty much partied for 3 days straight. I swear I regressed 10 years. Friday night we went to dinner and then over to Fanieul Hall/Quincy market and went to a couple bars. It was lots of fun - rowdy Irish music at one, large fruity scorpion bowls.
Saturday we did some shopping and went out at some bars near Fenway. We had a blast at this sing along place (not karaoke) and drinking 22 oz coronas. Sunday was hanging out in Harvard Square and then partying at my place. Monday everyone went home and a certain QLC-er arrived for a visit.

I spent most of the weekend in Chicago being my quiz bowl nerdy self. Our company's high school nationals was going on, and I read questions for three days.
Saw a lot of old friends (including a young lady from Ottawa I was anxious to see again) and made new ones. Took care of some business and got to know some important people.
After the tournament on Sunday, I drove through downtown on the freeway, through the Skyway and all the way to Gary on I-90. Just wanted to see something I'd never seen before. Certainly got that.

cheshrcarol: the scorpoin bowls did you get those at the Hong Kong? They are SO lethal there!
And it sounds like you went to Jake Ivories on Landsdowne...that place is hysterical...once we pooled $50 to make them STOP playing the pianoman for the 5th time in an evening.

Wow, I want blue's weekend!
Friday I had REALLY bad allergies and didn't go to work, but visited the doctor, got some meds, then visited my sister's fifth grade class to guest teach a lesson on writing.
Saturday, I went to train at the catering company where I work summers, my car battery died, and after several attempts to fix it, my dad took me to replace it, and bought me lunch. Then I went to the bar with my friend who got super-drunk on wine.
Sunday, I did a ton of laundry, went to a barbecue, then went to my boyfriend's house and watched "Troy".
Monday, I didn't do much at all, just relaxed, then went to my friend's house to cook out on her balcony.
Now back to the grind..
