A friend told me about this site & I stumbled upon your posting. I've never done anything like this (as in a support group) - but would be interested in talking with you sometime and/or maybe getting together. My email is Carboann25@aol.com.
Hope to hear from you soon. Bye!

I'm interested in a Portland Group. I actually live in Vancouver, but I'm in Portland quite a bit. Anymore details?

Ok folks,
I suppose part of my QLC is finding out where I want to go with my life- I mean that in the most literal sense. I grew up in Austin, TX moved to DC 2 years ago and am having major East caost blues. What's up with Portland? I spent a week there last summer- drove up to seaside went to Ecola State park- one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I can't get Portland off the brain- everyone I've met from there says there aren't any jobs. What's the scoop Portland people?

This is kind of an old thread, but thought I would ask anyway.
Has anyone in P-town gotten together? If not, we should. Over drinks of course.

Skyblade, I used to live in Portland, so let me know if you need tips on where to go. I miss it there - but I'm going back in two weeks to visit! It'll be a nice change from the EXTREME heat we've been having here.:)
Also, you could look into meetup.com groups in the area - I think there's a pretty active hiking group there...

Hi, if anyone can tell me about Portland, I'm thinking about moving up there from Berkeley, CA. I'd be interested to talk to someone who lives there. Thanks!

well seattle's economy is pretty good. i guess the next best thing would be seattle. don't know if portland's economy is that bad. what about the weather thing? Interestingly enough sSeattle i believe gets less rain than dc but something about the way it rains.

My sister moved up there about four years ago. I've been up there twice and I loved it! I don't know if I could live there only because I'm getting used to living in the desert.
I hope to visit again by next summer.

I really want to move to Portland, but I am worried about getting a job. Is it difficult to get one there? Where's the best places for a young person to live in the city?
