What do you if you do not have anyone to write you letters of recommandation

Just do the best you can, really. I had this problem when I was going to grad school. I got a recommendation from the one professor that basically kept up with the students (the token recommendation person for everybody), but the other two completely didn't remember me and simply asked if I got an A in their class or not and slopped some stuff together.

I never really interacted with the professors much -- I managed to do all the homework by myself and never went to them for help -- so none of them really knew me very well.

All of my letters were from professional work supervisors who could vouch for the quality of my work and dedication to my field. I didn't have a close knit relationship with any of my professors from undergrad.

I needed various types of recommendations to join the volunteer corps I joined after college, and was able to get some from professors (was very close to quite a few, major bonus of choosing a small school), from the director of res life, for whom I'd been an RA, from students I'd advised and mentored (applicable to the position I was going for). I haven't had to have letters of recommendation for anything I've applied for or gotten since then, though. References listed, yes, letters of rec, no.

I wouldn't trust my cloddish boss to write anything more impressive than a grocery list, so I'll be looking elsewhere if I need any recommendations from my current position.

He would probably tell you to do it, and then he'd sign it.

That actually would kick ass. I'd gladly do it.

Because we all know you'd do a hell of a better job than he could.

Shit, I could write you a letter of recommendation (as your boss) and I've never worked with you!
