you know if you are in word and you type a email address it creates the hyperlink? Well, it does so if you print it out the address is blue. My question is do you think it matters or not on the printed copy?

To get rid of the hyperlink, press Enter and then backspace. The hyperlink will disappear.
I don't think it's a huge deal if it's still in there in the hard copy, but it might look nicer without it. Every little detail can potentially matter in a resume, so I'd do anything I could to make it look nicer, even on a small thing like that.

why not just change the font to black and remove the underline?

Just right-click on the hyperlink and then click "remove hyperlink" at the bottom.

Or Ctrl+z to "undo auto format." I think there's also a way to modify your preferences so that it doesn't automatically create hyperlinks.

I'm really anal about removing email hyperlinks in Word documents, but, realistically, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure they see it all the time.
