I had an interview for a position for something I really wanted and the HR kept saying how I was one of her best candidates.

So I interview with the president of the US division. He asks me about my biggest changelle I'd over come. Which is deal with my dad's sudden death. He said that must have been hard and what do I say? it sure the he** is. I caught myself and said I was sorry many times. He tells me to relax and play up my strengths. then the 2nd person I interviewed with I started to answer a question in the 3rd person.

ehh shot me

I feel like that alone wouldn't have been a huge deal if you'd just slipped and then just apologized once. Certainly it depends on the interviewer, but I'd think in many cases you could get away with one such slip up.

If it makes you feel better, once I fainted in an interview. Yeah, didn't get that job.

I'm confused, have they told you that you don't have the job yet?

Well, it's not like you dropped the F-bomb. And you weren't discussing a casual subject either when it happened. Don't be too hard on yourself. What's done is done and in all honesty, it doesn't sound *that* bad. Good luck and let us know what happens!

Eh. . . it's "hell". If I had the perfect candidate, that probably wouldn't be enough to sway me.

Now, sometimes, this has definitely worked against candidates that I've interviewed. . . but the words have been much more inappropriate.

Apologizing profusely may have had more of a bad impression than the swearing!

Seriously though, don't sweat it. You may be worrying for nothing. . .
