My crazy place of employment gathered everyone 'round yesterday to tell us that my former boss (who had already been forced out of leading my team and into another position that didnt take full use of her skills and experience) who had left for vacation on 1 August would not be returning. I guess we all got a clue when she didnt come back last week, but no one got to say goodbye, and no one was in the loop, not even my new team lead/director. We also lost our best analyst on my team. So, I totted up everyone who has left since I started (5 months ago) and its over a third of the company. Is this typical?
My team of 6 has almost turned over complete in 8 months. I know its consulting and all but my god, its almost impossible to do a long-term project with everyone moving in and out all the time.
