View Full Version : any tips for a second interview?

I had a horrendous first interview at a mental health center, but for some reason they asked me back for a second interview this afternoon. This is the first time I've been interviewed by a man, and it's also the first time I've made it to round two. The other jobs I've had didn't require a second interview.

With this agency, I know that the second interview (meeting with the exec director) is a requirement before being hired. I also know several people who got an offer at the second interview, but I'm not sure if that always happens. I do know that my references have been checked and my background check has come back.

How do I even begin to prepare for this? I can't think of what in the world they might ask me that they haven't asked already.

Wow, I don't know how I would have made it without all those helpful tips! :D

In case anyone is interested, it went very well. I didn't get an offer, but the interviewer told me that I'm "definitely in the running" and should know something in the next two weeks.

Edited to add: I hope people are just busy today - I've killed three threads so far.

:) Good luck!?!?! It must be one of those days. I've been stuck at home all day waiting for my tile guy to show (he did... finally at 4:30). I have been working on lesson plans though (for some strange reason we had off today, but not tomorrow??). Maybe everyone is just in busy mode today?
