Am I being a moron, or is it impossible to burn a CD directly from an iPod? The songs on my iPod are not on my hard drive, so I can't create a playlist in iTunes.

had this same problem...wound up having to redownload the songs so they'd be on the harddrive.

When I do it using the iTunes options it will only play on my computer and one stereo of mine. It won't play in my car...I think because of the format the music files are in. Yes, very annoying.

Yep. The main reason I bought a Creative player, although other players will allow it too. Because you can transfer files back and forth.

If you have a classic iPod (not a nano... at least I don't think a nano would do this), you can open My Computer and look for the "storage device" then copy the songs onto your computer to burn them. I'm fairly sure that would work. I think... I've not tried it, but I know that when I connect my new iPod to my computer it opens up with files.
