Going to a Career Counselor-What can I expect?

I have the opportunity to go to a career counselor for free through a program I am in. I want to get some direction about what career path I should take because even though I have gone to college and worked in a few different fields, I am more lost than ever.

Has anyone ever been to one that can tell me what I should expect from her?

I've taken DOZENS of these tests. Wonderlic, etc. These counselors deal in generalities. You will fill out a (lengthy) questionnaire with bizarre questions. You will be interviewed (blah). Honestly, it feels like going to get your palm read.

I've gotten more positive results from talking to people who know me very very well than from any test or statistic.
