Ok, so I used Citibank for my grad PLUS loan and they totally screwed me over. The whole process with them has been a total nightmare, minus the nice customer service people. What should take no more than a few days to a week has taken over a month. They emailed the financial aid person at my school and told her that I needed to contact USAF (Sallie Mae) because they turned me down. After I call up Sallie Mae, they tell me there was a mismatch in my address. Would you care to know what that mix up was? Well instead of apt 1 it said apt 10, so because of this extra digit they denied me. How ridiculous is that? On the other hand with my stafford loan, everything was a slam dunk. Took no more than a few days for that to happen. The stafford was for much more money than the PLUS and in a mere few days I got it. My question to you all is should I continue my PLUS with Citibank or switch it over to BoA. My only major concern is that Sallie Mae would have to do another credit check again with BoA, which will mean that my credit score will drop. Should I risk it? I won't be applying for any other loans or stuff like that any time soon, so should I just go ahead?
