Ok, I'm indulging a bit of schadenfreude here, but I just learned that my ex-girlfriend (some might remember "C") continues to work for her father's company. Why might this be good news? Her father broke apart the company she was with and started his own business in Tulsa!!! That's right....she's moved out of my city!!!! Apparently she has some title like "National Sales Director for North America" or some crap, which means if anyone calls into their office from anywhere, she takes the call...her dad was notorious for this...always seeking to get rich quick, and everything was going to be some huge, national venture...and it never was.
Anyway, not only did I learn this from someone I know, but they emailed a picture from her company.....she looks like hell!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
So this is probably horrible, but this makes me quite happy. Not because she looks like hell, but because for 2 and a half years, I went places in this city sometimes looking over my shoulder or scanning faces wherever I was thinking I'd see her and there'd be some confrontation or some crap. Also, since their "business" is somewhat connected to ours, her new job will have her no longer consulting in our field and I won't likely ever have to encounter her in the course of what I do! No more! I LOVE this. I feel like I've won some prize...I haven't, but I feel like something has lifted off my shoulders.
