So I spoke with my accountant today about whether I had any ability to take a bonus for purposes of Christmas shopping and what doing so would do to my tax burden. He called me back within two hours and not only said I could have a pretty decent bonus, he ballparked my 2007 tax burden and told me that I will unquestionably be profitable for 2007, that I'll get to take home profit in January 2007 if I choose, and that it will likely be larger than what he's estimating because he's looking at raw numbers without consideration to any deductions or credits that I will have or any profit from December. In short, it's taken me 7 months, but my business is already profitable, I can guarantee myself that I am at least a capable businessman, and it looks very much like I will continue to be profitable with no reason to believe otherwise. This is GREAT news!
