Okay, so I decided not to completely give up. Plentyoffish is my one last shot at this whle internet dating thing. I have been talking to someone on there who I actually met once for lunch last April. We went out Thanksgiving night to have a few drinks and listen to some music. I had a great time. I didn't view it as a date. We went dutch, and I just looked at it as hanging out with a friend. I've asked him if he wants to go out tomorrow night. He acted interested, but left things open. We'll see.
I've been emailing one other guy rom there. He lives a little ways from me. Maybe an hour. He's a great communicator. Very funny/witty in his messages. Even if I never meet him (although I hope I will), it's fun just conversing with him.
I have put in for a promotion at work. I hope to find out soon if I got the position or not. I would start working 8-5. Normal people hours! With this new schedule, and a few nibbles on plentyoffish, hopefully I can begin to form some similiance of a social life.
I'm not getting my hopes up for anything in particular. Well, maybe a little. I'm trying hard to just go with the flow right now and see what happens.
