Connections

I am wondering if there are any other 20/30 somethings that find it difficult to make meaningful connections with people. Especially in the ways of love. I just recently ended a relationship and am just looking for something right now. I have been on a few dates and been talking to a few girls and either there is a great connection on the phone and none in person or there is no connection on the phone. When there is no connection on the phone is it even worth going on a date? What are your thoughts? I am not really looking for love but just someone to hang out with, have a few good meaningful conversations, and maybe even a hug (and if stuff happens it happens). Any ideas anyone? Let me know.
